We are looking forward to our next group trip in July of 2009. It will be a group of youth and adults going. We are going on July 12- 28. The first week will involve ministries in Lima; including leadership seminars, children’s ministries, medical clinics and evangelism meetings. The second week will involve a trip in the Amazon jungle to Pucallpa, with similar ministries there.

How you can help:

- Christian doctors and nurses are needed for the medical clinics.

- Medical supplies are needed for the medical clinics there.

-Laptop computers and projectors are needed for the churches there.

- Financial gifts for ministry expenses and scholarship monies for individuals going who need financial help.  You can donate money to help those going to Peru by writing a check to Fountain of Grace and writing "Peru trip" in the memo field.

Cross-Cultural Trip to Lima, Peru

July 12-20, or July 12-28, 2009

Mission:

1.      Cross-cultural awareness- to see this world through the eyes of Jesus Christ.

2.      Cross-cultural involvement- coming alongside sister churches to learn, to encourage and to help.

3.      Cross-cultural commitment- to see individual hearts open and willing to reach this world both at home and overseas.

Objectives:

We will be coming alongside of the C&MA churches of San Juan de Lurigancho (10 of them), pastored by Pastor Gino and his pastoral team.  Ministries will be varied, but will primarily be targeting sectors in San Juan.  The team will be divided into up to 3 or 4 children’s teams to minister simultaneously in 3 or 4 different sectors.  There will be a 3-day leadership training conference at the central church led by the pastors going.  There will be evangelism services in churches and schools.  There may be medical and eye clinics taking place in different sectors for those with medical training.  The youth and adults will have hands-on opportunities with music, drama, and children’s ministries.  For those going for 2 weeks, there will be a 5-day trip outside of Lima, in Casma, a small city north of Lima.

Financial Commitment:

-         The cost for this trip is $1500/ 1 week, $2000/ 2 weeks.  This does not include passport fees, shots, snacks, or souvenirs.  For those going to Casma the 2nd week, malaria medication will be required.
