Cults: For a detailed list of cult groups go to: http://www.watchman.org/cat95.htm
When considering joining any group or organization do not leave your brains at the door. Make no committments until you have thouroughly questioned the leadership and understand all the doctrines and requirements established by that particular group.
Important questions to ask:
What does your group teach concerning God's requirement for salvation?
a. Is one saved by faith alone?
b. Is salvation a process? If so, how?
c. can a person know for sure they are saved?
What does your group teach about the Trinity?
What does your group teach about the inerrancy of the bible?
What does your group teach about the rapture, the second coming of Jesus, and the millenium?
What does your group teach about church authority?
What exactly is expected of the church members?
What does your group teach about heaven, hell, and the lake of fire?
What does your group teach about those that die but have never heard the gospel?
Any pastor with his salt will not mind making an appointment with you and answering all your questions. If there is any hedging, hesitation, or dodging direct questions proceed with caution.
